Values manifest themselves in many aspects of our daily work. Here at DENKweit, they are also reflected in the code we write.

Precisely because we develop every line of code for our Vision AI ourselves, our values are not merely a theoretical construct. They are embedded in our decisions, architectures and priorities.

At our last quarterly meeting, we made a conscious effort to refine our values. They explain why we work at DENKweit, how we work and what we take responsibility for. The result is a clear core, underpinned by four further convictions:

📈 Value creation – For us, technology is not an end in itself. We deliver measurable added value, translate innovation into clear KPIs and ROIs, and measure ourselves against our clients’ success.

⚙️ Technologically precise – As a Fraunhofer spin-off, our heart beats for new technologies. For us, scientific depth and technological progress are inseparable.

🤝 Transparent & collaborative – We act fairly, openly and responsibly – both internally and externally. “Don’t be evil” is not just a slogan for us, but a commitment.

Many computer vision AI solutions are based on freely available YOLO networks. However, this often poses problems for industrial applications – for example, in terms of explainability, adaptability and long-term maintainability.

YOLO is designed for speed and generic object recognition. In real-world industrial processes, this quickly reaches its limits: special cases, product changes or new inspection requirements are difficult to integrate, decisions remain a black box, and reliance on external frameworks increases the risk.

Our focus since 2018: Vision AI developed entirely in-house

That is why we develop our image AI entirely in-house – specifically tailored to industrial requirements. This offers our customers clear added value:

▫️Transparent results instead of black-box decisions
▫️Long-term stability without dependence on open-source trends
▫️Customer support on equal terms: Together, we find the optimal technology for your specific needs and are on hand to answer any questions

Our aim is to provide robust, adaptable vision AI that works reliably in everyday industrial settings. That is precisely why we do not rely on YOLO.

Further added value for our customers: digital sovereignty. We know the origin of the AI core and have full insight into data flows, model architecture, operation and further development.
