STRADIS Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH has been developing solutions for image- and data-based recording and analysis of transport routes for over 20 years. This includes systems for road, rail and public transport infrastructure.

STRADIS has been driving forward the digitalisation of transport routes with its solutions for over 20 years. The company combines traditional surveying, modern camera systems, intelligent sensor technology and AI-supported evaluation to create holistic information systems that are used by Deutsche Bahn and in public transport (including the Stuttgart tram system, the Karlsruhe transport association and the Salzburg region), among others.

The combination of in-house hardware and software development, decades of experience and the integration of innovative AI systems such as DENKnet provides infrastructure operators with a powerful tool for efficiently recording, monitoring and planning routes.

The collaboration between STRADIS and DENKweit is particularly evident in the WebClient:

With the WebClient, STRADIS offers a modern, browser-based platform for the central management, analysis and visualisation of route data. Users can virtually drive routes, capture objects, take measurements and integrate geodata – without any additional installation.

A key highlight of the WebClient is AI-based pixelation and object recognition via DENKnet – a solution from DENKweit that STRADIS has seamlessly integrated.

  • Automatic GDPR compliance: Licence plates and faces are pixelated using AI.
  • Automated object recognition: Traffic signs and other objects can be recognised and inventoried with the help of AI.

What makes this special: Object recognition is performed by our new DENK Match AI technology. DENK Match AI: AI-based matching process for object-based recognition without prior training.

Educational setup for industrial image processing at the HWK Magdeburg

Educational setup for industrial image processing at the HWK Magdeburg

A new training set-up for industrial image processing was handed over at the Chamber of Crafts Magdeburg. In future, it will be used in technician training and enables modern AI-based inspection processes to be trained and understood in a practical way.

The set-up was created as part of the “Digital Education Project at the Chamber of Crafts Magdeburg” in collaboration with the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Magdeburg.

What makes it special: the set-up is deliberately simple

Anyone familiar with classic image processing expects extensive lighting installations, special lens concepts, shielded systems or mechanically highly optimised inspection stations.

None of this is needed here. The training set-up essentially consists of:

  • our purpose-built gantry with an industrial camera from IDS,
  • the AI training platform DENK VISION AI Hub (DENKnet),
  • the evaluation visualisation software from NeuroCheck.

And that is precisely the point.

👉 Our AI does not require highly complex peripherals to deliver robust results. What matters is not the perfect mechanical staging, but clean, varied training.

The generation of additional artificial image variants as well as the optimisation in the background take place within our systems. This makes it possible to build a stable visual inspection process with comparatively minimal hardware effort.

Why this is relevant

The same set-up is suitable not only for training purposes – we also use it at trade fairs.

It shows very clearly: with a single camera and the right AI, robust inspection processes can be realised – without a highly complex system structure.

For the technicians, this means: they learn not only how image processing works in principle, but how modern AI-based systems are actually implemented today: lean, flexible and scalable.

Two prepared demo applications are available to get started. In addition, participants can build their own use cases, capture training data, train models and evaluate the results directly.

Impressive live demo: LogiMAT 2026: 24–26 March 2026, Stuttgart

At LogiMAT 2026 in Stuttgart, CANCOM presents a highly innovative demo in which AI from DENKweit plays a central role.

CANCOM shows how camera capture, motion sensors and multimodal AI learning record, interpret and immediately make data usable in real time. Employees see priorities instantly on ePaper displays, which creates transparency, enables shelf-life predictions and controls processes efficiently.

The solution combines computer vision, AI, RTLS, cluster technologies and ePaper displays. If you want to see what modern logistics with AI and IoT really looks like, you must not miss LogiMAT.

Write to us telling us which trade fair/conference you want to visit. It is best to arrange an appointment with us right away so that we can talk at our leisure.
